TUC Okanagan Makes Its Mark!

Recently, members from the Kelowna, B.C. based Okanagan chapter made their mark by posting catch and release signs along the Kettle River located in the Christian Valley.

The Kettle River is designated catch and release but with little enforcement or compliance by anglers, adherence to regulations and poaching has unfortunately become a regular occurrence.

The chapter hopes the posting of the signs will educate and inform the angling public of the catch and release restrictions.

The chapter has also produced a short film detailing their conservation efforts on the Kettle River that will run during their March 16, 2013 film festival.

Please click here to watch an informational video on the efforts the chapter is doing to protect the Kettle River.
