TUC Receives Recognition

The Hon. Julian Fantino (Right), Minister of Veterans Affairs attended the 2013 Toronto National Conservation Dinner and Auction.

During the dinner Minister Fantino pleasantly surprised TUC by extending formal recognition on behalf of the Federal government for the fine work that TUC does in its mission to Conserve, Protect and Restore Canada’s freshwater ecosystems and their coldwater resources.

Minister Fantino presented the certificate to TUC CEO, Jeff Surtees (Left) and spoke a few kind words about the TUC performs across Canada.  As an avid angler and conservationist, Minister Fantino indicated that he was inspired by the work and involvement of the volunteers of TUC demonstrated in a series of videos presented during the dinner.

TUC was delighted that the Hon. Julian Fantino was able to take time from his busy schedule in Ottawa to join us for an evening to celebrate and promote the work TUC does.
